So how easy is it?
Very Easy!
What is the state of present technology?
We've purchased and used clave controls only to find them complicated and sometimes buggy to use, written by automation or machine manufacturers for what they believe their customer should use.
So what's different with this one?
We use autoclaves everyday of the week, from simple to complex cures, special recipes for particular parts and the requirements of quality records and traceability. Ease of use is our prime target, if you need a degree to operate it, we are just not interested in using it. We need to make parts not baby sit our equipment. So we built our own!
How expensive is it to maintain?
There is no yearly maintenance fee and there is no expensive proprietary hardware, you even get the engineering data and parts list for your maintenance needs.
Will it run on any autoclave?
We built it to be flexible, heat only, heat and cool, pressure and vacuum control with multiple I/O compatibility. We cannot guarantee it will fit your present electrical and pneumatic set up of the shelf, but the unit is very flexible and will adapt to virtually any clave with little effort.
How Much?
There are two models to suit your budget and your requirements. The Industrial model is under $10K and has full control capability. Comprises the software and control hardware pre-wired in a NEMA electrical box and runs on the customer's PC. The Aerospace model for less than $27K incorporates a touch screen, computer and independent field point module providing an extremely robust environment, the computer can smoke it and you will complete the cure and data log! Both provide exceptional value.
Why would I want to buy the Aerospace Model?
In regards to the interface, there is virtually no difference, they are both extremely easy to use. The Aerospace Model, incorporates a Field Point Device, much like a PLC on steroids, thus has stand alone process capability so your computer or power can go down and the module with monitor and log during the black out and complete the process once power is resumed. The computer never needs to come back on line!
The aerospace model also has virtually unlimited capacity for part thermocouples and part vacuum monitoring and venting. It can also control off a part thermocouple or an average of them. It has a dynamic tuning mechanism that allows part thermocouple control from one, or the average of many. The Aerospace package also comes complete with computer, touch screen monitor, scanner and camera set up ready to go.
How does it keep History?
In the run/cure set up, you select your parts and associate thermocouples and part vacuum ports. These are then associated to the part in history along with the vessel data, photo and your job/project information.
What Photos?
Ever gone back a year later and tried to remember what the heck it was? The software has an integrated photo attachment per part, no going to explorer of the camera software. Like all the parts of the software it is just plain simple to use!
How can you Calibrate?
With many standard off the shelf controllers, calibrating your thermocouple, pressure and vacuum sensors can be a cryptic and at best frustrating experience. The calibration is semi automated and leads a user through the sequence, then date stamps it! All you need is the calibrated gauges for reference.
